38 Weeks

  • Total weight gain: 30 pound and I feel every last one of them.
  • How big is baby?  7 pounds the sono lady said "oh he's going to be tall!"
  • Maternity clothes: Oh yes. A ton of my shirts are too short. Pants are basically a thing of the past. Leggings/Jeggings/Tunics are my friends.
  • Stretch marks? No somehow i've managed to not get any yet...
  • Symptoms: Waves of nausea, Extreme upper back pain--weird right..and pelvic pain. I can't get off the couch by myself because of that. High blood pressure
  • Sleep: I fall asleep super fast because of my bp medication but i'm awake within hours and usually awake until about 4am. Then fall back asleep until 7 or 8.
  • Best moment this week: Being told we are starting our induction on Sunday.
  • Movemen:  This kid LOVES to move and groove.
  • Food cravings: Caramel Apples.
  • Food aversions: Nothing really.
  • Labor signs: Braxton hicks all day long.
  • Belly button in or out: It's flush.
  • What I miss: Not being absolutely miserable lol. I know it's 100% worth it but I just hurt.
  • What I'm looking forward to: SUNDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Milestone: Every week is a milestone in itself for me. I'm a paranoid freak of nature.
  • Braxi: Braxi's whole world is about to get turned upside down. I feel so guilty about it. I wish I had a better way of preparing him for it, he gets no heads up to the fact that his life is drastically about to change. Dogs are just dogs to some people--but he's been our baby for the past 4 years.
  •
Choosing a date...for the day that your world forever changes. Is it just me or is that wild? We went to the dr this morning to pick out the date we will have our son. Mind. Blown.
I'm so very excited and so very very VERY scared. I can't wait to hold my baby and learn how to be a momma and see my husband as a Dad and of course Braxi as a big puppy brother ;) We will have our family in a matter of days. We are taking this weekend to just enjoy the 3 of us and savor our last moments before utter chaos hits our lives and we have to learn a new normal.

Can't wait to meet you Mr. Sam. So many people are looking forward to your arrival. I pray everyday that you join us safely and healthy. You are surrounded by prayers so I have faith everything is going to go just fine. You've been a strong baby since the beginning so I expect just that when it's time to make your way into this world. You are so very loved, my sweet boy! See you soon!
