Sam Brody::: 3 Weeks

How is my sweet, tiny man already 3 weeks old?? Weeks are flying. I want to freeze frame time. Sam has been the most amazing Christmas present and birthday present I could have ever be given.

How Big? At his 2 week appointment he was 7 pounds.

Clothing Size? He is just barely starting to fit in him newborn clothes. They've been swallowing the poor thing.

What/When Is he Eating? He eats every 3 hours in the day and every 4 hours at night. I am exclusively breastfeeding. It's exhausting (mentally more than physically) but I am so so thankful that he took so quickly to feeding and it's not been painful at all. I am thankful everyday for that.

How is he sleeping? He sleeps so good until it's time to eat then he's a little honyock. A swaddle, sleep sheep sound machine and rock n' play are a MUST for his night time sleeps. His daytime sleeps are usually on my chest. I try to put him down every now and then--but the way I see it is he will never be this little again and far too soon he wont want to snuggle on my chest so for now i'll let him sleep his days away right there.

Movements? His neck is getting so strong. He loves to exercise his little limbs. He is not a fan of tummy time. He'd rather have tummy time when i'm holding him instead of laying on the ground.

Milestones? Does his birth count?! lol Pretty big deal.

Hardest moment of the week? The Christmas rush. It was terrible. He was passed around and in the car and back and forth when we got home he was a fussy, fussy mess. All he did was holler and nothing calmed him down...thank the lord we took Friday to do nothing but nap and he got caught back up on his routine. He is 100% like me in that aspect. I don't do well when i'm thrown off my routine, I turn into a grumpy mess too lol. I'm thankful he's back to him happy self though.
Burping him is another hard moment...he burps great during the day but when it's 230 in the morning and he is finished eating it takes almost as long as it did to feed him to get him to burp.

Best Moment of the week? Him getting back to himself. Starting to fill out his newborn clothes. Friday when we got to nap all day. It was glorious.

How is Braxi doing as big brother? He is doing amazing. He loves his baby brother. When someone comes over and holds him Braxi has to check that person out. He's pretty protective. Also when i'm feeding him in the middle of the night Brax will get up on the bed and get right up in my lap below Sam and fall asleep. He took his role as big brother with ease, im so proud of him :)

  1. He is so cute! Love all the pictures! Glad the pup is doing well with him! I was worried with my dog and son but they got along great from the start!
