Story Time

Obviously, one of the biggest reasons we moved to a small town was for Sam to be raised in the small town environment. Our little library has a Story Time every week (YAY!) This was our first try at it. I wasn't sure how Sam would do, just for the simple fact that he is never around other kids, especially not in his age range. He did amazing! He was up in the front dancing and clapping and just loving every minute of it. I sat in the back and just watched him in awe. He had no fears he wanted to be friends with anyone close by. He saw two little boys sitting on the ground and he left me and went and sat with him, not even once looking back. He's my confident, independent, little dance machine! Let's just add this to the list of things i'm thankful for in this town.

I wish I knew how to add a video because I got a great one of him dancing around during songs! Maybe one of these days i'll figure it out! We are looking forward to next weeks Story Time--especially looking forward to the Halloween Party Story Time.

She Sheds

While doing my usual day dreaming about our future home on Pinterest I somehow came across a new trend called "She Sheds" hmm excuse me, back up on second..a She Shed? Take My MONEY.

Here are a ridiculous amount of my favorites. This will without a doubt happen at some point in my life. I couldn't even pick just a few--

Man! Put me a comfy chair, a little TV, my sewing machine and all my crafting tools and i'd be SET! Talk about the ultimate Mom-cation.  Okay--back to day dreaming on pinterest.

Happy September!!

It's almost here, y'all!! Of course, I'm talking about FALL! This has always for as long as I can remember been my favorite time of the year. It's just been multiplied since I discovered fashion, home décor and pumpkin patches. We moved to a small town so this means i'll even go to some football games, something I've not ever done. I couldn't tell you the first thing about football--but I hear they have a kick butt concession stand, so..sign me up!

So in honor of the first day of fall I did what any crafter would do. I busted out the 'ole cameo from the top of the closet and made a fall sign...which will go to my mom's house since I have no where for it. Sucks for me but I know she will love it!

First I just painted some wood that Trent nailed together for me a white color then mixed brown paint with water and went over it for that look.

Bought a couple of designs in my design store...(for free because I have credits, whoop!)

Played with those for a while

This will be darling on a small single piece of wood.

Cut, weeded and ready for transfer.

It needed a little something extra so I added some leaves. I absolutely LOVE how it turned out. 3 hours of work and a free project--i'm all for free.

I Had a pretty cute helper too.

Happy September!
