DIY Reading Nook

This is a project I didn't really see coming. I had mentioned to my husband that I thought it would be really neat to have a little reading nook for me in the backyard, since he has taken over the rest of the yard with a golf course--I figured a nook for me was pretty fair!

Then I came home for lunch one day and he acted all weird asking if I wanted to eat our lunch outside on the deck...then I walked outside and saw that he had started on it!! Husband brownie points. Oh yes, he racked those babies up with this project! Clearly, I didn't do anything to help with this so this isn't a tutorial. I just wanted to show off my hubby's hard work and brag on him for being so stinken AWESOME.

YEA...YOU!!! ♥♥♥

 My garden use to be here--remember when I tried growing pumpkins and corn? lol clearly I gave up on that dream this year.

 He even knows that I need it white

 And a little privacy

 My mom had been spending the night and showed him all the things on pinterest that could be done with pallets so he was determined to give me a nook that had a bed in it...when he's determined things happen.

I was so sick this day but who could be too sick to enjoy this?!

 

 Can you believe it? I think it's absolutely PERFECT. I love the little lanterns he put in there for me. It's the most comfortable area. Now it would be nice if mother nature would get it together and stop with the freezes so I can actually go out and use it more!
Now, I just need some good books to put on my kindle--any suggestions? Happy Sunday girls!!!
