Hutch Makeover

You guys know how excited i've been about this hutch. So I put my serious pants on and got to work on this baby. I really thought it would take me a lot longer to finish it but once I got it taken apart and primed the rest went really quick. Except for the doors, i'll probably never paint little doors again in my life. Note to self: NEVER buy a cheap walmart roller again. It's cheap because it's freakin' terrible.

So you guys remember how she looked when I bought her off craigslist
My mother wanted to kill me when I told her "I'm painting that sucker!" She told me I'm ruining it. She's probably right, but it fits in our living room a heck of a lot better now!

I was really dreading hanging all the doors back but it went super smooth, which is something I can never say when I do a project.
I originally wanted to replace all the hardware...but after sitting in the hobby lobby aisle for a ridiculous amount of time and still not able to decide on what I wanted I just used some rustoleum bronze spray paint I found in the garage and gave the ones that came with it a face lift..i'm really glad I went with that, I love them.

It sat without decor for the past two days...driving me insane, she is just screaming for a little love. Soo tonight I decided...even though it's only August that it's time for her to be in full on Fall Glory. AKA Fall threw up on my hutch and I love every bit of it :) In my mind i'm just giving fall a tiny push a little reminder to hurry to town! ♥ It's out of love.

There you have it--It is Fall at the Fullers :) Mother nature is sure to get the hint. I asked my husband if it was a little much for August he told me maybe a little bit but as long as I was happy with it that's all that matters...and I am beyond happy, especially that I no longer have to sit in my garage sweating my face off trying to finish painting this baby. Love her.

  7. OMGosh, I can't tell you how much I love that hutch! Funny, my husband always says the same thing when I get a new piece and paint it- but it's always amazing what a little paint can do! So glad you stopped by my blog, I am now following back {happily} to find another Autumn lover! As I cleaned yesterday I fought back the urge to go all orange and pumpkin all thru the house! I think I might just go ahead and do it anyway!

  13. Love it in the white! I painted a similar hutch and store all my craft supplies in it. I too have been feeling the itch for fall decor. So far I am restraining myself :-)
